  Field Trips at the Japanese Friendship Garden.

     Thank you for your interest in visiting the Japanese Friendship Garden. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the history of the Japanese Friendship Garden, as well as Japanese gardening principles and techniques. Want a little piece of Japan at your school? Participate in our Pop-Up Exhibit Program! For two months, enjoy pieces from our Private Collection, student craft kits, and programs such as yoga, kamishibai, origami, and more. Programs can be held in person or virtually!

  Calling all teachers! Want to teach your students a bit more about STEM while having a hands-on experience? Think about setting up a field trip to one of our locations! There, students will be able to learn about the competition teams, what it takes to build a competition robot, and what other students their ages are currently learning at our summer camps and after-school programs. While you visit, students will be led by our instructors who will aid them in building their own robots that they will be able to take home with them! As students build their robots, they will learn about how robots operate from the smallest of gears, to how circuits work and how tools like screwdrivers are safely used. Our goal is to help inspire students to start learning STEM and jumpstart their critical thinking skills. Depending on the ages of the students, the questions asked by our Roboteer staff will vary in difficulty and depth of explanation.   SEACAMP San Diego is a marine science camp for kids and teens offering a range of programs to students throughout the school year and summer. Since 1987 it has been our goal to supplement traditional marine biology classroom study by providing hands-on education programs for students of all ages. Our programs combine hands-on labs and workshops with interactive field activities, such as snorkeling, boat trip, kayaking and boogie boarding. Marine science is a multidisciplinary field therefore SEACAMP San Diego covers a wide variety of subjects during our programs including marine ecology, physical oceanography and marine biology, ranging from the largest marine mammals to the smallest plankton.
